January 27 2012 Gaby Hot Chocolate announcement
One of the promises that Gaby made when she ran for president was a hot chocolate day. Every Friday it was Gaby's responsibility to deliver announcements regarding various school activities. This Friday was special since Gaby was able organize the hot chocolate day. The kids went wild right after the announcement since Gaby was able to add some drama and excitement when she told the entire school about this activity.

It is Gabriella's 11th B-day. Gaby decided to have a French party and invited several friends for a sleepover. Gaby made all the decorations that are posted on the wall. The girls pretended that they are flying to Paris. Then, the customs officer (Mia) stamped all their passports. Kyra was dressed up as a French maid. Then, the girls decorated their French berets and had some "French" appetizers. Later, they also had a painting contest. Each of the girls had a small canvas and easels and painter their own masterpiece. Coconut was also pampered for this occasion. Coconut went to the groomer and had a French poodle haircut and later the girls painted him pink! He also had a small pink bow on his head. Finally, the girls had some cake. Gaby was trying really hard to blow all the candles and had a hard time doing so.

June 16 2012 Mia's 8th Birthday
Mia is turning 8 and she has a Harry Potter birthday party. Gaby organized all the activities, games, and decorations for the party. Ron got Frank the photographer to help with taking photos. Ron was dressed up as professor Snape, Kyra was Hedwig, and Marina as Minerva McGonagall. The girls had food, face painting and then played various games. Later, they hit the piñata that Gaby made which was Dementor. Marina bought a Harry Potter birthday cake. It was a sleepover party so the next morning the girls had breakfast and Mia got to open her gifts.

The entire second grade class performed Rumpus in the rainforest. The kids represented various animals in the rainforest.

Ron came with a spontaneous and brilliant idea. He wanted to take advantage of the long 4th of July weekend and visit Northern California. We went to Pismo Beach, Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach, and Solvang.

Ron made a little photomontage of the wedding. We drove to Monterey with Pinchas and Erika and had a wonderful time with them. I think this was the first time we went on a trip with them. It was a special occasion since my little brother, Gideon, finally got married. I know that for a very long time I was worried that Gideon would never get married, but eventually he did. I know that the wait was for a reason for his "delay". He had to find Lee! This wedding was very special and was without a doubt the most beautiful we ever attended. It took place in Pebble Beach right next to the 18th hole. Gaby sang a Shabbat song, which she learned in Camp Alonim. Gaby, like a champ, performed very well and you can hear sing it with this video. I am very happy for my brother, and only wish our mother could see it.

Gaby wanted to become the President of the student council in Yerba Buena Elementary. In the beginning she did not want to run. Gaby was afraid of loosing to one of the other candidates Bella Rouso. Bella was very popular and intimidating. At the end Gaby made the right decision, she ran and won. According to Mrs. Desiderio (YP Principal), Gaby was the best president the school ever had. At the end of the year, after the graduation, Mrs. Desiderio told Gaby that one day she would be a future US president. If you ever read this Gaby, I wanted you to know this "Never be afraid to go after you dreams". There is only one thing worse than loosing, it is not knowing. If you did not run you would never know if you could win. If you loose your might hurt your ego that’s all.

January 3 2013 Kyra Grand Princess Performance
Kyra is 5 years old and she decided to join the talent show. She stood in front of about 200 children and parents and sang "Twinkle Twinkle". Later, she danced with the entire kids club gang and did a great job. Way to go Kyra! I am very proud of you, it takes a lot of courage to what you did (A little note from your Abba :-)
